After a massive fireball hits New York City's Central Park, seemingly ordinary man is left in its wake. Played by the comedian Eddie Murphy, this man turns out to be a composite of 100 one-quarter inch tall human-looking aliens who are on Earth trying to save their own planet. Meanwhile, funnyman Murphy's character falls in love with that of Gabrielle Union, a romantic who has a tendency to pursue love in the arms of losers, thus sabotaging the mission. We might ask ourselves, how much does this say about Murphy.s character? Murphy is well known for his roles in the Shrek films as well as his recent role in Dreamgirls. Among Union.s roles have been Love and Basketball, the cheerleading mockery Bring It On and Bad Boys II. Comedy/Sci-Fi. In theaters May 30, 2008.
